I just replaced the trans lines into the radiator and now have a leak at the connector. Is there supposed to be a washer of some sort? Is the piece they thread into supposed to be afloat? I noticed that it was loose when I took them off but had to take off the lower hose and push it up to the holes where they belong. I would appreciate any help as im getting quite frustrated..
no, thats my problem. the fittings are as tight as I can get them but the piece the fittings thread into seems to be loose.
I'm thinking that piece shouldnt be loose inside the radiator but Im not sure!!
If the bit that is made into the radiator is not a flare type fitting , It may need an o ring to seal . There may be adapters in the radiator that need to be resealed . Hard to say without seeing .
I had a similar prob on my 04, are you trying to use the same fitting that you took out of the radiator?
When i bought mine they were loose and leaking. Its been a while but I think I cut the hoses that go into the radiator and used hose clamps on a peice of trans hose and McGyvered a AN fitting from Oriellys in to the radiator.
