I have a 1982 ford Bronco and I can spend up to an hour inserting a stiff wire into the notch on the light switch **** and mess with it. If I get lucky Ill hit the right thing and the whole piece comes out (light **** and the metal rod its attached to). Can anyone tell me the name of a tool to buy or a better method to make this any easier or any tips or tricks. Thanks in advanced!!!!
If there is a slot on the plastic **** shaft , insert a small flat bladed scerwdriver in it and work the thing toward the rear of the truck. I am not sure if this would apply to your model year or not.
From somewhere in the cobwebs in the back of my mind I seem to remember that some of those ols switches had a button on the body of the switch that would allow you to pull out the **** and shaft together.
