Hey guys, im kind of new to these exhaust pipes. I own a 1999 F-150 with the 5.4 V-8 and want to put some flowmasters on it, but am not sure what it does to the truck. Will it effect the ride (vibration wise) and will i hear it in the inside to where it gets aggrivating? I want to route them to where they come out by each end of the bumper. Please post as many replies as possible before i make a decision.

Depends what you go with. 40 Series Originals will be the loudest. Pull your cats off and holy ****! It sounds awesome. But they have tons of drone, your ears will hurt after a few minutes at highway cruising. Vibration wise? Exhaust doesn't alter the suspension characteristics of a vehicle, only suspension specific stuff does.

I have a 40 series with cats. 3"inlet and 2 2 2/2" outlets that exit at the rear on either lide of the hitch. It is notisable inside but not too loud. You can talk normally and it doesn't "drone". It sounds really good tome.

Hey there I have an 03' supercrew 5.4 L Fabtech lift.I had installed cat back 3" exhaust w/ 3" 40 series high flow flowmaster.Really like the sound and performance, but you can here some interior noise, depends on how you drive.You can get a 50 series flowmaster it's quieter. Hope this helps????
