You have what some refer to as a Frankenstein truck. I see a '78-79 supercab 4x4 chassis that has had the married trans/transfer case replaced with a divorced setup. The correct front axle which would be a high pinion d44 or high pinion d60 has been replaced with a low pinion d44 from a highboy .
Yeah, a 79 shouldn't have a divorced t case and sticker is not for an F250. Does your title match your sticker, cuz it's probably not right if it does. Check frame vin.
Agree with the others. The cab is from a 79 supercab F150 4X4. Orignal engine was a 351. None of the running gear matches that. Need to find that frame vin to see what it's sitting on.

Hey winter kill...I have a bit of a Frankenstein truck myself. In my opinion the previous owners who put it together did a pretty good job. Hopefully yours is put together well too. Nice truck man. Have fun with it!
I never was able to locate a VIN on my frame. I hope to find it when I pull the front clip and get a closer look. I thought I might find one when I had the floor pans out. Didn't happen.

thanks. i think this one was done right also.... i have limited knowledge of the truck but iv found a pretty good group of guys here! i should include a pic of the engine compartment.whoever did the work seemed to know how things worked. my truck has a new super thick radiator retrofitted into it. also a new fuel tank. the bed is fairly new as the mounting bolts are still shiny...... it will be a fun truck to mess with. no plans on rodding it really, i will use to haul firewood and to access some distant hunting ground!!!
