Here's our typical camp setup. The picture is from back in '07 so it's my "old" '08 Super Duty under the camper. But the slide-in, pop-up camper is in the truck, the Bronco is behind it, and we're in a campground with picnic tables and showers.
And here's dinner - pot roast, potatoes and carrots, made in a Dutch oven.
Gee whiz. Just got back from camping, unloaded without taking pictures...
I have a topper, a bit shorter inside than my Aerostar, so I am getting used to trying to fit thing better with less vertical space. Crawling around on the bed floor is less comfy than the carpet in the Aerostar as well...
Had two mountain bikes, 3 big coolers, 10'x10' canopy, 8 or 9 plastic tubs, toolbox.
man i have to say you guys are organized! i'm not nearly as good about putting everything in its own place. i'm more of a throw it all in a tote/in the camper and sort it out when i get there. i know it may not be the best way but it works well for me.
i plan on building a platform on the rear of the trailer for the generator and firewood. i need lots o fire wood! LOL
i picked up my trailer off a family member for next to nothing. not new but works perfect for what i want to do.
The most important thing is to get out there and camp. Camp. Camp. Camp. Improvements to the setup will happen over time and there really is no perfect setup. As they say 'just do it'. Keep posting those pics!
Sorry, no. It's pretty small inside which makes it hard to back up far enough to take a picture. But here's a link to a web site that is showing the same model as ours. We don't have a fridge , sink or stove, so all of that space is available for storage. Anso there's about a 5" deep sorage area under the queen size bed, which is plenty of room for everyone's clothes. Coolers and everything else gets packed on the camper floor and distributed around the campsite once we set up
Freedom to roam where ever is ideal, light and fast
Don't need over loads or anything. Can stay out for 12 days and see some crazy stuff. Most importantly though, just get out there and enjoy yourselves in the outdoors in whatever way floats your boat.
