Electrical Exasperation
Well, I just got my truck back from the tranny shop, where it was discovered that the codes I pulled with AE were from an electrical short outside the tranny, back towards the PCM, and therefore (understandably), not covered by warranty, resulting in a $700 bill. This is now my3rd electrical short that has caused a somewhat major system to malfunction. First, I lost the drivers side bank due to a broken wire before the main electrical connected. Second, I lost my alternators supply wire (small orange/black) to top of alt. Finally, PO743 and 0741 for my tranny. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I'm wondering if I should just replace my wiring harness, or at least remove it and check each wire, or just keep struggling in with it! What's the best preventive medicine for this problem? Sorry for the rambling, just venting a little frustration. At least I have my truck back.
