Is it a pretty safe bet the color is non-Ford or did ford sometimes not mark it? It still looks like new so I would have good paint to match from.
Thank you.

the 1967 ford truck blue are the following...harbor(7)....frost(B)...peacock(D)...A rcadian(F)...Brittany(Q)..harbor looks closest to the N model.. just for your general info....my 72 f350 came from the dealer wimbelton white....I am the 3rd owner...I talked to the orig. owner many times.. the truck came in as a factory 12 ft block letter rack body... it has no stamping for a paint code on the door plate.. there is no dso code as well...what should I do... contact ford and tell them that they made a mistake.. I realize you have a lot of time under your belt working for FORD... nothing is absolute.. FORD as well as any other manufacturer do not adhere to all the parameters they have established.. things overlooked, forgotten etc.. I believe that the N model is painted a factory color.. if you care to dispute it, I will gladly hear your argument.. if you can prove differently, I will gladly acknowledge my being incorrect... if you cannot prove differently, they I believe I win by default... good luck with your conquest.. none the less, the N model is a very nice piece of machinery. wish it was at my garage...

If paint formula required, dealer contacts FoMoCo passing along 6 digit DSO. FoMoCo looks up the order number, passes the paint formula back to the dealer. Same DSO system used today.
martiauto.com has ALL the original records for 1967/79 vehicles. All that's required to get an original build sheet, is to pass along the VIN, pay the fee for Marti's services.
btw: COLOR code Q = Brittany Blue aka Medium Blue Metallic: 1967 Econoline only. TUP (Touch Up Paint): AE60-1624-A .. 3 ounce can w/brush & AE60-1624-S .. 5 ounce spray bomb.

Thank you number dummy and all.
The truck has an old paint repair that was done by a little country shop I believe, and the color matches perfectly. I don't believe they would have had the capability to search a paint color but would likely have the easiest way out and bought something from Ford. That's just a guess.
In that thinking, is it possible it could have been painted a non-standard truck color but maybe a color from elsewhere in the line of cars---and then not marked on the door plate because it wasn't a Ford truck color? It seems I have seen the color before but that could have been anytime over decades or so.
Thank you all and any thoughts welcome.

Here you go...deep breath...
Yup, still have it but the miserable winter has me waiting for Spring. The frame is shortened and the fishplate welded in place. I need to drill about 20 holes (that I had punched in the fishplate) through the frame and finish installing a crossmember. That's for the frame.
Everything to do with the brakes has been replaced from one end to the other. New or rebuilt everything and new lines. New grease seals, M/C, hydrovac...you name it and it's new. Stopping is a priority.
The pickup bed is sitting on a trailer waiting to go to a body shop and have the 1/2" holes welded shut. This was where the dually fenders mounted. I can't find a shop to tig weld them shut but a local shop says he can mig them and prime without warping anything. I hope he's right. I suppose I could mig them closed myself but I never worked sheet metal and don't want to screw up. It takes four friends to lift and fit the bed.
Before the holes are closed up I need to finish fitting the bed on the truck. It needs to be spaced up 6" and tilted forward about an inch. After it's fitted it gets primed and put back on. While that is going on I'm going to replace the cab rubber mounts. I can't find the correct part so I'll take them off and then figure out what's a close fit.
Other things I decided is to leave the truck the same blue that it is. It's actually a "custom" color but is still a Ford color for trucks. Just not on that truck. A color change would have meant dismantling half the truck so it stays blue--which is the color it came out of the factory with.
Plus, I decided is to leave the 300 6 cylinder since it's such a beast of torque. I m going to change the intake manifold to an Offenhauser one with a small 4 bbl carb. I'm going with headers, a better fuel pump and going to try to figure out an electronic distributor. The engine and trans will get re-gasketed and I'll figure out where to put a fuel tank. Plus, the whole thing gets rewired and new gauges. Plus a hidden radio. The truck will look then as it looks now in case it ever needs to be reversed.
Now, after I drive it for a few months to a year it's gets taken apart and repainted same color with lot of clear. And that's it.
Oh, I went with 22.5 tubeless wheels that I found and have two 9R-22.5 on the front and planed to get same size recaps for the rear. I had to go with 10R-22.5 on the back so sizes are mixed for now and I may bump the fronts to 10R later.
For sale are two, like new 8.25-20's on six bolt wheels and four excellent drive 9.00-20's on the same wheels.
All this sounds like a lot but really isn't. It's a great truck and I really like it. It's like we've been looking for each other for the past 50 years.
Thanks for asking.
EDIT--I might also add a rugged hitch to the frame when done so I can pull something. Not that I want to but there is all that torque and groceries aren't much of a challenge. Did I mention I love this truck? If you ever see an N for sale, buy it. You heard it here first.
