RPM's too high ??
1987, F 150, 4x4, 302 efi?, 3.55 gears, 31" tires.
Trans appears to be C6, not sure. Shifts through 3 gears but sounds like it coud use 2 use more. Top speed is around 70. At highway speeds it's revving way to high, so I usually have to drive aroung 40-45mph.
Thought maybe someone put some taller gears in it but the tags on the diffs. match 3.55, 3.54, thought maybe OD wasn't kicking in, but if it's a C6 it doesn't have it right? 31" tires should have lowered my rpm's from factory gearing, but,,,no such luck.
Codes off the door tag are:
Axle-H9
Trans-K
Any thoughts on how to improve the drivability of this monster stump puller??
