Need Help Identifying Engine
On a piece of property I lease there is an irrigation pump with a diesel engine that I can not identify to power it. I thought it might be a DT360, but I've ruled that out. It isn't a Cummins, Cat, Detroit, John Deere, or Ford as far as I can tell. I've searched all over the engine and can't find ANY identifiers. No serial, casting number, brand name or insignia...nada. The man who owned the place when the engine was installed passed away several years ago, so I can't ask him.
I really need to get some parts to get this thing operational and I was hoping that maybe somebody here might know what this animal is.
It has a Bosch injector pump and a Garrett turbo. That's all I know for sure.
I hope somebody here knows what this thing is...

I called my friend that owns the local NAPA. He looked up the filter and said it fit a LOT of diesels, so I don't think that will work.
I hadn't thought about Perkins, because it looks way different from any of them I'm familiar with. I'll do a little searching on those. Thanks!

Not arguing with you, just thinking out loud, but if it was a Ford, wouldn't it have FOMOCO stamped on it somewhere? This thing has no logo of any kind on it that I can find. I've been around Ford engines, both gas and diesel all my life, but I've never seen one that looked like this one.
If it was a Ford industrial, is there any way to identify it for sure?

all the ford industrial diesels i have ever seen only had stickers on the valve cover.
is there any casting numbers or serial numbers stamped in the block or head?
the fuel filter/water separator is the same as used by the 97-94 ford 6.9 and 7.3 IDI diesels.

That's the problem; there aren't any numbers cast or stamped on this engine except for 'AB2' kind of up behind the injector pump. Other than that this engine is devoid of ANY number or letters anywhere. I even took a friend of mine to look at it this afternoon to make sure I hadn't missed something. I apparently haven't.
I did find a serial number on the injector pump. A diesel mechanic in town told me where to locate it. He told me that he might be able to use that to identify the engine. I'll phone him with that info tomorrow.

Sorry, that AB2 was going off memory...shouldn't have done that. It's actually got HH2 stamped behind the injector pump with ABCD underneath that in this order: A over D, B over C with the four letters forming a square. Hope that's clear as mud...
I found the following number stamped on a flat spot on the injector pump: 67906717. That's all I can find on it.
