FIRST WELCOME:
If you do a search on here you will find more ideas than you most likely will want. There are tons of posts related to this topic.
Well really my truck is my daily driver but I am planing to build it as my weekend truck once I get my f250 I really want it to respond better and have good hp
Yeah, if you want it to be a fun powerful weekend truck you really want a modded 351 or 460 in the truck. A 302 really isn't as good for performance in a truck. It's not impossible to build up a high power 302, but it would be much easier and cheaper to swap in a bigger engine and do a low budget "hop up". The larger engines make much better low end torque which is what makes that truck jump off the line and burn rubber.
Well, either a stock 302 or 351 would both benefit from cleaning up the heads, maybe a nice mill job to bump compression a bit, put a decent street/strip cam and valve gear in it, headers/exhaust too. Bump the timing (if you bump compression up you may not be able to advance timing much or at all without going to 91 octane) and that should give you a decent gain over stock hp/tq. May or may not need a chip/tune after this, probably will if you don't have MAF, but either way you'll benefit from one.
Shift kit for the trans (if auto), gear swap to some 4.10's or at least 3.73's, decent tires, and don't forget to get the brake system in shape so you're able to safely stop your 5000 lbs of weekend fun.
Add up what these parts will cost you, plus 10% for beer, multiply by 1.5 to get your actual cost!
