You guys are probably sick of me by now, but I just had to brag a bit. Earlier today my mother in law bought an '06 Grand Caravan, and I used my F150 to tow it home.
Trailer: 4,500 lbs + misc. junk in front of trailer
Van: 4,500 lbs
Total weight was somewhere just north of 9,000 lbs.
Stopped for a photo op once loaded:
And this one when we got home:
As most of you know I've had diesel Super Duties in the past as well as an Excursion, and I can honestly say that I have never had a truck that was this comfortable towing. I was easily able to go as fast as I wanted to up any grade along the way, and I could have easily made the entire trip without breaking 3,000 RPMs. Stability was head and shoulders above the Super Duty trucks I've had, and I blame the really tight IFS and rack and pinion steering for that.
Fuel economy showed around 11.0 for the 51-mile trip up there, and down to 9.8 when we got back. I really like this thing.
Great to hear Tom...did you have your Stable Loads activated during the tow? I noticed when I was towing my boat yesterday that the rear suspension would bounce up and down when hitting bumps in the road...something the Stable Load addresses right?
BTW I never get sick of hearing how great our trucks tow...keep em coming as far as I am concerned!
Nope, crazy, never get tired of seeing what ye truck does! How long is that trailer? Man, those are nice to have!
Thanks Gene! The trailer is an 8.5 x 28 car hauler with a 14,000 GVWR. I use it as a storage unit, moving van, and to haul cars around from time to time.

Maybe you've been dragging a half dead cat around after your last trek into the woods.
Anything is possible Tim, but it really did a good job for me yesterday. Peak coolant temp was 226 degrees, and I never heard a strange noise the entire trip.

Fantastic news, Crazy001! Thanks for sharing your pictures.
I'm going to need to see your medical card, DOT number, fire extinguisher and triangles. Let's go ahead and pull off to the side here and do an inspection on your rig...
Nooooo, Mister, you saying old Crazy needs all that mess just to tow his 28' trailer? Is it because of the length, or potential weight it could hold? Oh me, I'm wanting an enclosed trailer!
