Hello pft250 and welcome to FTE.

A lot of owners tow that weight or more with the 6.2L and 3.73 gears.

hell i tow more then that with my 5.4 and 3.73s and oversized tires

towing 11.5 5er 6.2 373

Hi, I've been reading alot on the forums and the guys are mostly talking about 430 gears, which I would like to have but other things come first. I bought the truck new back then with no choice of axle ratios, being on the lot. My 5er is a 2006 kz sportsman 3254 PX3, had a dually when I bought it, didn't really worry about any gear or weight issues, buy the way it was a diesel, but things have changed, and what I have now is what I'm going to stick with, maybe a 430 swap in the distant future. Love the truck, did some rear susp mods, sits level with a pin weight of 2200lbs.
