Maybe this will help with your decision, but I have both, more or less.
On my Ranger, I have an Access Limited that has been on since 2004. It still is in very good condition, zero leaks, nice and tight, and the vinyl still looks new. Just taken care of, if any of that speaks for longevity.
On the 150, I've got the Truxedo LoPro QT. It looks good, the fit is alright, meaning that the tarp seems to be a bit on the loose side. The wind seems to make it shake more so than on my Ranger, but that may just be the size difference having a lot more surface area. I haven't seen any leaks yet, but if any come up, I'd say it would be on the back edge where the tarp meets the spoiler, it really doesn't overlap, but more just butts up against the inside of the tailgate with a smallish flap. Both are well made.
The Truxedo will not be on during the winter, I plan on putting the ARE cap back on for that.
I guess I just like the more traditional look with a soft tonneau, opposed to a hard one, and black always goes with red!
I'm on my 3rd Access cover for my 3rd truck. I started using them when I lived in Minnesota. They hold up very well in cold climates. Never had any issues with any of them. I like the Limited and the one for my F150 came with a tool to retrieve items from the front of the box, kinda handy.
Have to throw in a plug for Extang products. I had one on both my Super Duties and my dad has one on his F150. Their customer support is amazing; I called them last week telling them that the front corners were broken and one of the side rails was bent. No questions or issues, they just asked where to send the parts. They didn't ask for proof of purchase, they just took care of it.
After that I'll be buying another Extang for my F150.
I installed my Peragon cover today. My truck looks exactly like the picture I posted 8 replies up. So far, I'm impressed. Paint is flawless. Fit is excellent and it retracts evenly and smoothly.
