400ci on propane

Hey, I am lookin into buyin a '77 f150, but the guy says he has it running on propane. I was just wandering if the only reason why someone would do this, would be bcause it is cheaper, or what?? And if I buy this truck, I will want to put it back onto gasoline, and exactly, what will I need to do that.(I don't know much about running on propane). Propane, seems like quite a big hassle, everytime you gotta stop to fill up for gas, you have to find a gas station that has propane. Also, just wandering if there are any side effect's to running on propane that I should look out for. And what kinda performance number's would this truck be putting out, propane vs gasoline... ? Thanks,

Well running on propane isn't a bad thing .. the motor will make decent power on it .. and the oil stays really clean too..... finding a gas station with propane isn't that hartd either .
