1996 transmission problem's E40D
My tranny shifts hard , and the OD light is blinking on and off , and the Dome lights don't go out when the door is shut , and when the speedometer is hooked up the tranny will slip after second gear or third gear ,but when i unplug the speedometer the tranny stops slipping

It is normal for the transmission to shifts hard and the OD light to blink on and off if the speedometer is unplugged.
With the speedometer unplugged the oil pressure will go to maximum.
You may also have worn clutch plates and seals or low oil pressure in the transmission. You need to hook a gauge to transmission and see what the pressures are with the speedometer hooked up.
