Both exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, water pump, crank pulley and parking break assembly all sandblasted for $60. After all the wire wheeling I've been doing and the work still to go on the engine this makes me very happy. Parts have been primed and POR15 on the exhaust manifolds.
I was just looking at your WP as it was returned to you. I did not take a pic before I primed but my sandblasted WP was much lighter color than yours came back. I've been watching your y-block thread for a while now and I appreciate the pics and discussions of color schemes. I'm pretty sure I'll be tweaking mine from the original slightly (black fwd mount bracket and black crank pulley).
Here's a pic of the sandblasted exhaust manifold and POR15 treatment. Can directions state to wait 24 hrs before curing at 300 F. I'll do that on the grill tomorrow. I'm guessing the better half would get upset if I did this in the oven.

Thanks, I'm a novice at this trying to do the best I can with what I have. It's funny how we have long discussions on stuff, but when we take it to a car show (I'm years from that) hardly anyone will know even what engine it is let alone if all the parts are colored properly. To me it's all about learning, enjoying working on my truck and knowing that I did as much of the work myself as I can.
Go ahead and try the oven. I'm sure she won't mind. Says the man who's better half complains when I come in the house just smelling like the truck.
Those manifolds look great, I've got to get a bunch of smaller parts blasted for my 52 to to move forward, I spent way to much time just wire wheeling the side window channel brackets and there is still rust in the nooks and crannies.
I have been thinking about just buying a harbor freight blast cabinet but havent made the move yet.
who did your sandblasting? BTW I'm in Riverton, so Layton area sandblasting might be a little bit out of the way but?
Lowes Sanblasting but he is in Hooper so a bit out of the way for you. For small parts I'd love to get a small sandblaster but even the small ones need more SCFM from a compressor than I'm willing to pay for.
