Statement from Dealer
Its seems FORD may be listening.
"I am a dealer so I want to quickly give you guys an update:
Ford knows of ALL existing problems. They have a fix for 75% of the concerns which now are closed concerns. They now have a handle on 2/3 of the remaining concerns. They will have all problems worked out by August '03 with a new Program (R15 - coming soon) to be released to fix ALL existing problems. They have just upped the man power and budget and started what they call "The Diesel Task Force" to fix and eliminate all 6.0 problems. They are working very hard and are getting VERY organized about this. Power Stroke makes up 65% of Super Duty sales and out sells Chevy Duramax 3:1 in Texas and over 2:1 in the Denver region. In some cases out sells Duramax and Cummins combined. So Ford isn't taking this lightly. This is a big money maker for Ford and they will help 6.0 customers get the help they are seeking. I hope all of you that are having problems can hold out a couple more months because I am more than positive International and FMC will have all problems fixed with an updated software program. Right now the rolling/rough idle is one of the biggest problems they are working on. They are recalibrating and solving this problem. Stay tuned. For anymore stats or questions just post here and I will answer as accuratly as I can."
Just wondering, cause all you seem to do is badmouth Ford trucks.
I'm sure glad dodge has never had a problem with anything....
... see ya'all later, I gotta go pull a dodge ram outta my grill
PS I support Bush too! And I like all American made trucks.
dman, don't they have a dodge msg board somewhere?

I don't think I ever said Dodge never had any problems. You might want to try to read what I wrote again. I have a dictionary if you need to look up the big words. I would feel the same as what I wrote if it were Dodge or Chevy. There is no reason for any truck maker to put out a truck with such a large # of problems. YES I KNOW NOT EVERY TRUCK HAS PROBLEMS. Af few problems is bound to happen. Look at the 03 Dodge. It has one reflash a metal bracket for on of the belt that might crack only on the first one made. Nobodys perfect and if anyone thinks so they have more problems than a mental Hospital and handleI guess I should have added more smiley faces to my post... Yes Ford has a plant in Mexice, the CrownVic I used to drive on duty was made in Canada, but I still like "American" made = American brand = American Corporate location trucks. I got out my dictionay to make sure I spelled it out correctly...
They all have their problems, and it looks like some 6.0's are no exception... of course mine has been flawless thus far and I'm glad I made the choice....

I would say you made the right choice if you like American made trucks and also the best truck on the market as you know the Dodge is made in Mexico and owned by a German company. A lot of people don't buy into this but I do and I think the folks at the Indy Navistar Plant, Huntsville Navistar Plant, and Ford Kentucky Truck Plant do too. It's nice to see someone else feels the same as I do. It's nice to know a product like this can still be built in the Good Ole USA by an American Company.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
You can say dman01 badmouths Fords all you want. But really he does not try to start fights...he's just calling it like he sees it. I love Ford trucks too, but facts are facts. If the 6.0L is junk, and he says it's junk, then what crime did he commit?

Do you guys realize that these things are selling like hot cakes. Yeah, most people that I know that have bills and mortgages rush right out and blow $40k for junk. In fact there's about 200k of those people that will be doing this from startup to sometime next year. Can you imagine a quarter of a million of these pieces of junk on the road. Oh my God the freeways will be littered with them.
You're right...that's exactly what's happening. Scary, isn't it?
I guess we could look at the bright side: more jobs are opening up at Ford dealership service departments now. That should help our slow economy just a tad, huh?

I wish Dodge had a 5spd auto. But I never drive autos
I was just saying that it was not a bright idea for Ford to release this truck when if they would just have waited a few years to perfect it they could have put a big hurting on Dodge and chevy for having a 325hp truck that only has a few little problems. I know a few guys that own the 6.0 Diesels. does that make me a expert Heck no. If I say what I read on this site and its wrong then why it it on this site?
Anyway, the PSD would win a 1/4 mile dragrace, so I guess it's still a better engine
I truly believe that the main reason they did push the 6.0 was because of the hp difference between the 7.3 vs the Cummins and Duracrap.
Man I still can't believe that you wrote something that I agree to.
