Greetings All, I am looking for some help, I have a 1977 f250 Camper Special. It has a 460 W/ Holley 750 double pump carb. The stock fuel pump has packed it in and I can't find a replacement it is a Carter model 0-1932 has anyone out there found a suitable replacement? I would appreciate any help, I am at a point where I am considering going with an electric pump but only if I have to.
I would think a stock replacement pump for a 460 from the parts store would work fine as posted. Fuel pressure requirements for OE ford and Holly are similar. It won't be a Carter but should work fine.
While you are at it suggest you check/replace rubber lines if they have any age. They can get soft and collapse with suction causing symptoms like a bad pump.
Sometimes I prefer the QC that mass produced parts usually get vs a more highly engineered version like Carter pump produced in smaller quantities.
Thanks for the tips guys, the problem is I have been to Napa and Lordco
Neither has a direct replacement they are close but the actuator arm is different and or the diaphragm is smaller
