UPDATE: I have decided it aint gonna work. I have a Peragon cover, so I can put an antenna in the bed or in a stake hole. I don't really want to put anything on the roof because I live in a city with lots of old trees that hang over the steet and I would just rip a roof mount off. So, due to inability to mount an antenna I have decided to forget the whole thing.

If i were to do it again i'd either use the replacement antenna or the hood channel mount. Just some ideas i thought i'd share.

sorry, didn't read the reviews on that one. I wonder if adding a spring at the base would fix the flexing, hopefully without it hitting the truck, or possibly make it worse. I kind of wish i had put one at the base of mine. there have been a few times i needed to put the truck in the garage and almost ripped the stake pocket out due to the antenna hitting the house.
