That's right. Someone crammed the 55 grille in the 49 hole. It's a shame. Fortunately it's an easy fix.

The other 48 is cool. I especially like the rear fender detail embossed in the ribbing. Classy.

Ok Last one ... I don't know what this truck is but it's cool. You could stick a nice short bus body on the back of this & have something unique...

My vote is for the '48 in Denver. I'd bet you could get it for a lot less than $3K. I can't see something like that selling too fast. It actually looks in fairly decent shape.

If you are willing to go outside of California a bit - this one actually runs & is licensed though it appears to be a bigger bus. Des Moines, Iowa. $4.5K or so..

That's a local bus. I seen it for the first time last fall, at our Fabulous Fifties Run. Here are a couple of interior pic's.

Hey. Whay happened to that guy that was driving his "purple haze" ? Bus? Was his name Angel? Last I heard I thought he abandoned it in colorado somewhere?

Maybe its available for cheap?

My vote is for that '40...... with a 4bt and six speed. I wouldn't paint or wash it.......

Here's one I saw at a show last year. That's my Dad peering into the rocket ship. I'd love to have those chrome 5 lugs rims for my F4!
