egt ? need help

egt ? need help
Will shimming the fpr help on high egt, s I have a inercooler
But pulling my camper it hangs around 1200

Shimming the fpr will not help with high EGTs. You need more air for a more complete fuel burn. How are the temps if you pull in a lower gear, keeping the revs higher?

Water temp was 210 to 220 my is a 410 if I ran 55 to
60 temp was 210 over it would climb I am going to
put a new radiator and a fan out of a 6.0 what do ya
think

I was talking about the EGT, not the coolant temps, sorry I wasn't clear on that. Usually if you use a lower gear and keep the RPMs up it will help to lower the EGT.

How big is your camper? Does it hang at 1200 on flat ground or just hills? Do you have any boost/exhaust leaks?

You can drive your truck with 1200 (pre-turbo) EGTs, all day long.

I have fought EGT's for ten years, welcome to the party. Sounds like your mods are getting you in the right direction.

So I replaced my turbo and also deleated my epvb also turned my pedestal into a non epv took a cutting disk to the thing and then welded the oil holes up on it forgot to take a picture before I reinstalled

Sorry i ran in 60hp tow thin I tryed 40hp tow no difference

Hey 427 fordman I see u put on a 6.0 fan I am put one now
is anything I need to do or is it put it on .Also I made a post
about short a lomg thermosts what would happen if u had
short were the long should be
