So I have these cheap E-bay COP's on my expedition. It is running like crap again, This last time was the fuel pump and one COP. Put in a new pump, and a ford COP.
I will get home tonight and put the reader on it, and expect it to be a bad COP.
Can I put on an Accel brand or other "performance" part, or is that a bad idea, and just sick with stock? If that is what it is I can not replace them all at this time.
I don't see why not. At least swapping the one bad and taking it for a test drive will confirm whether or not it's the coil or not. Any check engine lights? A few years back I had an issue with my truck running poorly and it landed up being the wire inside the boot. Not the coil. Just some thought before you go replacing the coil. For what it's worth I have put on a full set of ebay coils and have almost 40k on them with zero problems.
I had one bad coil, changed the whole set. And have had a lot of issues, and replaced several with the company under warranty. So now changing to something else.
