Morning guys,
Had duty this past Saturday and will have duty this weekend. I dropped the fuel tank on the DD and put in a fuel pump assembly Sunday morning before heading back to Winder. It was nice for the car not to be acting crazy when it got close to 1/4 of a tank, that was usually around the spaghetti junction area.

I am glad they moved me to the training class later this year, I know they are going to be hating life with the heat and bugs and running around with all that gear on. Looks like a little bit of a cool down coming later on this week!!!!

Grubbworm, Thank you for the compliment. I wanted the cup holder as well but liked the look of this seat the best. (Also the only red seat they had in the yard that day. Got super lucky that is was the style I wanted as well..) But I've found that drinks fit perfectly in the recess in the back of the seat when the arm rest is down. All said and done, I got some pockets that go on the bottoms of both doors and the seat for $46. Not bad at all!

You might already know about this site but fordification has a little info on the seats, with examples. See link below.

I really like the 95 F250 seats but they would require you fabricate a new mount for the middle bench/armrest. Also with the arm rest like that I think you would be able to see all the stuff behind the seats, and I keep my tools back there so it wouldn't look very clean.

Yeah, I want mine to bolt right in and look factory. As far as the color, I really don't care. If I get it for the right price I will have it re-upholstered to what I want. I think the '95 is closer to what I am looking for. http://www.fordification.com/images/...20F-150_01.JPG

And I would just have to find one of those behind the seat tool box thingys that was an option on our trucks or maybe a few years earlier trucks.

I think you have to do some mods to those as well to get them to mount up... I know you do with the crew cab ones, not sure about the extended cabs.. You'd definitely have to do some metal work to get those 40/20/40 seats to bolt up if all you have is the bench in there now.. Totally possible though.

According to that link; If you weren't aware, all factory Ford bench seats up through '96 are pretty much a bolt-in procedure into your vintage truck, if you use your original seat tracks. After removing the tracks from your donor seat you'll have to drill out the threads on the seat frame so the studs on the older tracks can go up into the holes and be secured with a nut.

Ah I see. So with the 40/20/40s you just have to drill through the floor pan and put some hardware in? I just used the donor tracks on mine.

The way that I read it was that you have to drill holes from the new seat frame to your old seat tracks. Then it should bolt to the floor just the same.

I think that's if you just want to use the original seat tracks. But if you have a bench in there now then there won't be any original seat tracks for the middle bench or the inside track on the buckets either. The only two tracks that the bench comes with are right and left. 40/20/40s like the ones mentioned earlier are going to have 6 tracks.

Then maybe I'll just have to go the same way that you did.

Hey Guys,
Been working administrative stuff, I think my mind is going numb. Some of the things they said they were good on, well not so much. Trying to pick up loose ends since we have another reinspection coming up the end of the month. I will be out of the loop from thursday to monday, going out to the field and doing somemore great Army training!!!

Just hit up the junk yard and start looking. I'm sure you could make the split ones work, but you never know till you try. Or at least look at some and see if its possible or not..

Evening guys,
We are back from training !!! It rained the whole weekend, I hate working on trucks in the rain. I can't wait to take a hot shower and chill out.

Worked alllll weekend in the rain on my truck. Took out the condenser for my a/c so I can get it cleaned and pressure tested. Also found out that I sprung a major coolant leak on an old return hose coming from the heater core.. changed all that as well.

Oh, and my petcock broke when I was in the middle of draining my coolant.. in the open position... not too fun laying on the wet ground fiddling with that. The way it's designed makes it really challenging to replace the petcock so I ended up crimping the end a little so I could turn the drain piece with a screwdriver.
