Acceleration issue

Acceleration issue
So i noticed on the way back from Pismo about two weekends ago and its done it a couple times since then.
I was driving along the highway at 65 and noticed I started slowing down so I put my foot into the gas more to get back up to speed and felt it downshift. I got it back to 65 and it wouldn't shift back up so I gave some more gas and it shifted pretty hard finally once I hit about 70. it doesn't do it unless I'm driving it on the highway for at least 30 minutes. If I run to Hanford which is about 20 minutes from base down 198 she shifts and runs just fine.
I apologize for lack of in-depth info, but I don't know how else to really explain it.
