Picked up the 70 grille shell and inserts I went after N of Waterloo. The guy has a few engines he wants to unload, couple of 289 inc a HiPo , 390, 460, 302 all carbed and all he thought good enough to keep inside.
Ended up in Sodus Bay tracking down a college buddy, friend riding shotgun had him as a teacher umpteen years ago. Nice little reunion on the back deck overlooking the bay, fisherman, boaters and jet skiers.

George, Yes it is used, I'm almost certain the converter is seated properly. Is it possible for it to slide up to the flexplate with just a smidge of space behind it and still not be seated properly? I thought the converter wouldn't line up right if it wasn't seated correctly. He was told it was good when he picked it up. It did drop in twice when installing the converter, but it may have budged while installing. I don't have a tranny jack so I wrestled the tranny in by hand.
Overfull shouldn't cause a non-moving condition should it? I intend to siphon some fluid out and try it again but I'm thinking I need to pressure test it too.
