97 transmission problem

97 transmission problem
last night i was pulling a trailer and my torq converter seemed to want to engage and disengage. when i would gas on it harder it would engage. also i am getting a p0603 code on my dtc.
it says internal control module kam error.
also i dont know if this is related but for the first time i was pulling out of my drive and the truck died. 1st time ever. and has not done it since. the trailer i pulled wasnt heavy at all.
any help is apreciated.
