Not having a good day here.
We took Burt in the 94, and the trans started acting up.
Of course, it's 3 year warranty from ford ended July 31'st
I can't get any codes out of it. Keeps saying no data sent.
When I short the wire to the computer, I get codes, but ones that mean I didn't do the self check test right.
I'll scrap this truck before I put $2g into a transmission again.

Shifted 1-2-3. in and out 3-4.
By the time we got to the appointment, wouldn't even shift to 3. Rolled home back roads in 2nd. Had to pull it down to 1 to get it to start out, then go to 2. Od light at switch not flashing.
When the first trans went up, it would shift fine 123 then go into neutral instead of od.
It had plenty of pretty pink mercon 5 oil
I'm thinking throttle position sensor, or mlps.
Anyone else have any ideas?

And that is precisely why I hate automatics, and especially hate computer controlled automatics..
I love my good old np435.. If it ever drops a gear, I skip it and limp it along with 3 gears until I can find a suitable replacement or rebuild.. and that is a pretty darn big IF...

What's up? I'm trying my best to avoid work, but it keeps finding me. Had to deal with some attorney related stuff too, oh joy. Looks like I'm stuck in my current marital bliss until at least the end of September as that is the earliest court date we can get.
