I changed rotors and brakes last weekend, now I have a squeak that will come and go. It will slow when I slow down. I took it to some one to see if they could find it but they could not get it to make any noise. By the time I got it home it was doing it again. Sounds like it is in the drivers front. I did not put new bearings in it because they looked fine, just cleaned and repacked them good. I'd think if it was a bearing it would be make a different sound and making it all the time. Any ideas what it could be?
I had the same problem...The squeak is coming from the inner dust seal on the spindle shaft that ride against the rotor. If it doesn't seat properly it with start to spin and the metal washer in the seal will rub on the spindle and Walla, it chirps every time it spins. This drove me crazy the first time I did my brakes. Good luck.
hello i was having the same prob so i took the dust shield off an i have not had a prob with it sence it was because the dust shields rust up an some of the rust falls off an falls behind the rotor an gives you a skwheeling sound so check that out
