Aside from the obvious answer of press your right foot down hard....you can either hold your left foot on the brake while simultaneously pushing the accelerator with your right foot ro get the rpm up, then let go of your left foot and floor it. (sort of like power braking)
Another thing that can help you get off the line is a tuner. (I.e. some advanced timing)
Get a SCT tuner with 5 Star custom tunes!! You will get thrown in the back seat off the line. I have a 2012 FX4 Screw with a 5.0L and it will chirp 2nd with the 5 Star 93 Race tune. You will not be disappointed.
Are 5.4's that slow? I swear my 5.0L w/ 3.55 feels like the fastest vehicle off the line 99% of the time. Almost too fast for what it is really.
I'm sorry, I've never driven a 5.4 F-150, but have driven the 4.6 and thought that was pretty sluggish. Op, I don't know what rear end is in your truck, but you could change to 3.73 or 4.10??
A tuner really helps the 5.4 off the line. Gives an instant throttle response. The reason the truck is slow off the line is because of the computer. When you mash the pedal it only open the throttle plate about halfway until it reaches a higher rpm. With a tuner it will fully open and allow more air through and that will get you moving a little faster.
apparently you missed the positive displacement pump and useless pulley attached to it
I lol'd
If gears aren't in the picture for you, I'm sure a supercharger isn't either.
Best bet would be a tuner. When I replaced the throttlebody on my Cobra it definitely picked up some throttle response...so maybe that could be something to look into with an aftermarket intake and exhaust.
Most basic things to do to any car/truck is make it breath better. IE intake/exhaust...then a tuner to perfect the mixture.

Haha! good one sir! When I saw the first picture, I was thinking the same thing as he was.... Useless CAI, then I saw why the truck needed it... Looks like a lot of fun to drive.
