Quick update,
I have been put on a highway construction project. I am doing soils testing for moisture and density. 6 days a week working 60-70 hrs. Long story short...everything has been put on hold...my wife, my kids, and my truck....this project will be 2 yrs....ugh
other news....My Mother passed away yesterday. She was 67. She had been in a nursing home unable to do much of anything due to having several strokes since she was 60....I am glad she is no longer suffering.
Doc I am wanting to come down this year. Money will be way better for us.
Sorry so short, but gotta get to the funeral home for arrangements.
Sorry to hear that Jeff, it is always sad to lose loved ones. I hope you get to spend some time with family though, the truck can wait. On the bright side, you are better off financially with all this work! I know, I am in the same place right now with way too much work. I have been working dawn to dusk every day for several weeks and will be for several months. I am actually hiring an old friend of mine (we were best friends since 6th grade) who is a semi retired motorcycle/auto mechanic. He is coming over about once a week to work on my truck. His son is one of the best Drifter racers in the country and he works on his car a lot too. OT, but here is a link: NST - NonStopTuning - Will Parsons AE86
Jeff,
Sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Your truck will wait for you; just tuck away some of that extra money so the project will move faster when you get the time.
Jeff, I can feel your pain. My dad died at 56 over 20 years ago after wasting away in a nursing home for over 3 months. He had a heart attack on night, went to the hospital, was doing find. Next morning had a stroke that he never woke up from and died 3 months later. My dad was a good guy, I miss him every day but I know he rides with me in my truck.
Take care and hopefully we'll see you at Truckstock.
Sorry to hear of your loss Jeff. Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys. Stay in touch and maybe we can coordinate travel plans for Truckstock. I hope you can make it this year.
Tough to lose a parent and sharing the news with others helps with the loss. For now, take care, and just put one foot in front of the other during this season.
