already running the diesel kleen, but some people have said to run 2 cycle oil also?just wanted to get the right info. Injectors look like they are expensive.................as opposed to a set of mechanicals for a 5.9 cummins.....
I've been using 2 stroke oil and Motorcraft Cetane boost for a few years now, can't say that I notice much difference other than quicker, smoother starts.
I run a Stanadyne jr, its good to run something to keep the algie from growing in the HFCM and tank it also helps in the dispersal of water, corrosion in the fuel system, lubricates and cleans the Injection system. 4oz per fill up around 24/25 gallons, I also switch to Diesel Kleen or Howes.
Dvldog, To your response in the Other Thread, you should let the ECT (engine coolent) warm up to at least 80* before starting out of the drive way it only takes a few minuets for that to happen that way the Trans temp will be warm and things are lubed and ready to go. The EOT ( engine oil temp) will be around 75 or so and catching up to the ECT. now you know that even the oil has had a chance to lube as well .let me know if I need to word that different.
Usually don't pull out till the gauge reads 120 or so.......but I have larger problems......pulled I'm tonight from dinner......HUGE puddle if oil.....coming from the rear of the block.....upper.....urgh
