I run 1ounce of stroke for every 3 gallons of fuel with the recommened power service keeps the injectors happy.

I've been using 2 stroke oil and Motorcraft Cetane boost for a few years now, can't say that I notice much difference other than quicker, smoother starts.

When I can remember to I add diesel kleen. Once in a while I add some 2 stroke oil to the fuel if I need to get rid of some.

I run a Stanadyne jr, its good to run something to keep the algie from growing in the HFCM and tank it also helps in the dispersal of water, corrosion in the fuel system, lubricates and cleans the Injection system. 4oz per fill up around 24/25 gallons, I also switch to Diesel Kleen or Howes.

I'm also so glad I found this site... I have learned so much the past couple of days since I joined here.

I'm a newbie (1 week) with a Ford Diesel truck so I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

Thank you all soooooo much!

Archoil in the fuel and oil, no complaints, the oil treatment made the most noticeable difference, much smoother cold idle.

Dvldog, To your response in the Other Thread, you should let the ECT (engine coolent) warm up to at least 80* before starting out of the drive way it only takes a few minuets for that to happen that way the Trans temp will be warm and things are lubed and ready to go. The EOT ( engine oil temp) will be around 75 or so and catching up to the ECT. now you know that even the oil has had a chance to lube as well .let me know if I need to word that different.
