DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST FORD? "A Ford was my first race car. The street stock cars back in the mid-’80s were big and my first car was a Ford Torino. I think it was made in the early ’70s sometime, but that was a good car. I also had a Mustang as one of my first passenger cars, but I’m really a truck guy. I’ve been a truck guy most of my life and the Ford trucks really don’t compare to anything else."
-Greg Biffle
My first vehicle was a 1992 F-150 Custom 4x2 with the 300 I-6 and manual tranny. We used that truck like most people use a 1-ton, and at 130K you couldn't tell it wasn't brand new.
78 f100, still have it will keep it for ever. most of my buddies have crashed there first cars when i've had mine going on 6 years now. i've had that truck since 96
Dec 1993 - 94 Ford Ranger Splash. First year for the flareside bed.
Brilliant blue metallic, decals removed, 4.0 v-6, 5-speed.
That thing would lay rubber in three gears. I sure miss it but momma needed a new "family car".
I always wanted to stuff a FI 351W and C-6 auto. But it would scratch 2/3 1/4 mile no problem.
2nd was 66 F350
3rd was 64 F100
4th was 74 Mercury (needed powerplant for 64 F100)
2,3,4 were all bought within 3 months. I guess the Ford bug bit hard.
umm...first Ford was a 92 Ranger 3.0 XLT, first Ford car, 71 MAch 1 Mustang with a 351C, but my first car was actually a Chevy....and yes, I do miss it...sorta....and I now own 3 Fords all to myself
p.s. I try to buy another car at every six months, when not possible I do get one every year., I have kept the last three (they were Fords) and I sold my ranger just over a year ago, I honestly miss it, it ran real nive for 150k miles and a 5spd, that my whole family learned how to drive on. (I paid 3g for it put 25k miles on in a year, and sold it to 3 mexicans who could not speak English for 2g cash)
