That is true, but the location of items on a diesel is what confuses me.

Had the same thing happen to me a few years ago with my 04 6.0L. driving to the coast with a huge load of rock on a trailer got to the pass and the truck just lost all throttle and finally came to a stop with no engine idle or restart, no lights on dash nothing looked out of place or wrong at all. Towed to Dealer and the HPOP was shot and needed replacement. Got it fixed and drove another 70,000 miles with no problems. good luck on your problem. These engines get a bad rap from a lot of people but my 04 was one tough truck that always kept working hard for me. Change the motor oil as often as you can and keep the Diesel treated and you'll enjoy the truck!
