You nailed it!! I disassembled the EATC, and this is what I found:

Broke out the iron and did what I could. The pad was in pretty bad shape, but I managed to get a decent joint. And guess what......now I have cold air!!

probably could have found it sooner if my reading comprehension was better.

Now, keep the soldering iron handy for when the headlamp relay goes south in the LCM.
