1988 E250 GCWR?
I am trying to find what my '88 E250 GCVW is? I searched and found all kinds of definitions, but no chart anywhere. I am going to be buying a Travel Trailer in the future and was trying to narrow down the weight range to look at. I have my vehicle manual and for my engine/gearing/trans combo it has 3 different GCVW listed. On the different Ford websites I was not able to find anything listed far enough back. I also tried running my VIN and it keeps saying it is an error......even though I have triple checked it. Any ideas?

The vehicle is as follows:
1988 e250 ClubWagon 2wd
7.3 IDI Diesel
c6 trans and 3.54 gears
It also has a frame mounted hitch, brake controller and auxiliary trans cooler added in series with the stock radiator one ....will have a weight distribution and anti-sway as well.
E-rated LT tires? I would want them over P tires.
Based upon what you have indicated I think something around a gross of 8K for a TT would be ok.
I don't think I would want more.

It has E-rated LT tires, 7-pin/brake controller and a frame mounted hitch w/2" receiver (not sure of the class. Secured by 2 bolts each side, may upgrade).
I will be adding a weight distribution hitch and anti-sway along with a Trans Temp gauge, EGT and Coolant temp gauge.
Wanting to set it up for a nice vehicle to take road trips/vacations in for the 5 of us. Lots of interior room and a TT to stay at campgrounds when needed......plus my son plays travel soccer and staying at hotels for weekend tournaments can get expensive with the whole family.
You can save a bunch by doing campground/dry camping on those trips. We stay lot at Walmarts and stuff and then every third night at a campground so we can dump and resupply fresh water.

I am thinking of about a 30ft TT with couple of slide out. Still debating on a bunkhouse style, or having the kids sleep on the couch/dining etc beds. Leaning toward the bunk house style for them. Ages 5,9 and 11.
