Silly question - wheel fitment

Howdy,
Sorry for the stupid question, but will 8 lug wheels off a 2001 F-250 fit my 73 F-250? Is that the same bolt pattern and center hole?
Thanks!

No. In 1999 Ford went to 8x170mm for all F250 and F350 trucks. The E250 and E350 stayed at 8x6.5 just like all pre 1999 trucks. There were some odd 7 lug F250's made too, late 90's-ish

I don't think so. To my knowledge they are all still standard.

I am up a creek trying to find 16.5" tires locally. Almost seems easier to go with 16" wheels.

Do Ford, Chevy and Dodge share the same 8 lug bolt pattern prior to 1999?

The same 8X6.5 lug pattern, yes. However stay away from stock type Chevy wheels as the center hole is not big enough to fit. And I believe you need 96 or older Ford wheels as they changed the lug pattern twice.
