Question for all of you tranny types.....My Ex got a new front seal and convertor a month ago at the dealer and has leaked ever since. Took it back twice. They dropped the tranny to find the front shaft ground up like it was on a metal lathe (shop managers words). This also ate up the seal and new convertor. They grumbled about not seeing how they caused this but are going to eat the cost (I think). Could they have gotten it out of alignment when they put it together the first time? Trannys are my weak spot.

They can't misalign it but they can fail to get it back in all the way (seated into the front pump) before bolting it up. They screwed it up, don't let them try to get out of it.
This gets better by the day. When they were putting the truck back together Friday, the frustrated technician was having issues getting a shaft bearing ( I assume) properly back in place and warped it. So now I am waiting until probably Tuesday morning for that part to arrive and am without my regular work truck for a week. Now the dealers GM and I are going to have a conversation in the morning. If they had done this right the first time they would not have the problems that they do now......
