My airstream is a 1959. But I just sold it so I can fix my truck . :-)

Interior mirror ? I still use it , to hang the beads from mardi gra :-)

Btw I like the conversion trucks but mine was just an xl when I started .vinyl seats and no extras

Nice looking truck! You'll like it even better with the new injectors.

I had the airstream for a couple years, did a body off restoration with new frame and sold it empty , no interior ...

Yes I have big lateral mirrors , but if you look closely I also have large wide angle round mirrors just below it . Bought all four of them from a truck stop and got the mirror arms for free from a junk yard .

Thanks for the link for the gauges :-)

For what it's worth the shifter doesn't have to be from a diesel. Even the F-150 shifter will work as long as it was a ZF and not the Mazda M5OD transmission.

I know , but for some reason there are none at a junkyard . I did however seen some nice baseball bats out of aluminum at Walmart that should fit just fine :-)

I've always kind of liked the "wrench shifter" myself:

well, my old injectors are out,
new injectors are already here and i send the old ones, including my chip back to swamp to have the chip re-programmed for my truck (free of charge).

my new exhaust pipe came as well.. what a difference in size.

I did started taking the down pipe out and after a lot of cussing, 4 sawsaw blades and raising the left side of the cab, i got the #@!&% Downpipe out

Now to the turbo.. took the ebpv off, got the upper two bolts broke loose, but the lower bolts are tight. The passenger side did brake loose, but goes very hard and it seems like the stud is turning instead of the nut.. did not get the drive side lower nut off yet.. and yes i do have short trenches, s-bend wrenches, crows-foot.. I stopped yesterday and sprayed everything again with pb blaster.. lets see today. goal is to get the turbo out, and all the automatic stuff..

I do not think I will change to 4wd . I won't need it .

As for the progress I finally got the turbo out . Also remove the transmission and driveshaft today and replaced the u- joints on the manual driveshaft . I replaced the pilot bearing in my new flywheel as well . More tomorrow .
