Hi,
I recently purchased a 7.3 and I hate the look of a truck with the butt end high in the air. I have been doing some research but I need more opinions from people that have been around these trucks longer than I have.
I was looking at the second to last option. $390.
Please feel free to post links sending me in a different direction. Im looking for a great quality front level. It doesnt matter to me if its a leaf pack, air bag, block, ect., whatever looks good and works.
Bags are for the rear right? Do a search for "leveling kits" and you will find a bunch of topics on this. Some kits will need to have the f350 rear blocks or the front will be higher, but some kits dont.
I wouldn't use air in the front, it will bounce really bad as the rear bags do when the truck is empty. I have a friend who has a suspension shop install an add a leaf kit in mine about 12yrs ago and it leveled the truck nicely, but at the cost of the nicer ride. I'm actually thinking of x code springs as they are more "progressive", I hope. Air is great to level the truck for towing, but thats it, when empty, let all but about 5lbs out or the ride is horrible. Just go over a speed bump or RR tracks and picture that bounce in the front as well. Just my 12yrs experience, others may vary.
Jim.
i have the drop bracket style front level kit. rode like stock. slapped in an add a leaf(front and rear). rides like my jetta on H&R cups. firm. not stiff. i like it.
I did a two inch leveling kit off ebay. Put it in 12 years ago. Dirt cheap, still great, didn't hurt anything. Don't look to far into it, pretty simple project. Under $80. Took 1 1/2 hours. I did mine on my 01 powerstroke. Looks like it should.

IN response to you:
Do you have to drop the axle to do an add-a-leaf?

I don't remember the brand. Some no name. It's just a mini set of leafs that go under your existing front leafs and then comes with longer u bolts. Any brand would be fine for what you need. Basically just some metal. Post a picture when your done. You will be happy
