1995 Air conditioning Controller Switch
I have a vacuum leak at the air conditioner controller in my 1995 F-150 where the vacuum hose harness hooks up to it.The controller is the switch that selects on,vent,normal cool and max cool.I get this hissing noise when it is in the off postion and the max cool postion.I replaced both the switch(valve assy) and the vacuum hose assy twice but I still have the hiss.It hisses at the white hose ,if I pinch the hose the hiss goes away but the blend door won't operate.Could this be normal and it is just venting and I am just noticing it for the first time.It does this when ever the engine is running.

No, it's not normal. There shouldn't be a "vent" (dirty air) into the vacuum system (engine air intake). Older valves could be disassembled (with a LOT of care) and lubed with Vaseline to eliminate some leaking, but I don't know about the later ones.
