10k 5th Wheel Pull

Can a 2010 stock 6.4L tow a 10k pound 5th wheel stock right from the time of purchase? I have read alot about mods and doing special things, but just plain Ford stock?

Other than adding the 5th wheel hitch and gauges?

Thanks
RC

With ease!
I haul a 15k 34 foot fifth wheel all over the country with a stock truck.

Agreed, you should not have a problem. I pull a 44' 5er with dry weight of 12.5K. The only "mod" is air bags.

You will not hardly know its back there. Just keep an eye on the mirror to make sure!

This. It will be very easy to forget it's back there. Don't go taking out bank drive-thru awnings and the like. I put a post-it on the dash with the clearance height whenever I have a taller than the truck load or trailer as an extra reminder.

Agreed...IIRC, the factory tow rating for a DRW standard cab is somewhere near 15-17k lbs. All I know is, I hauled my wife's 06 Avalon on a trailer the day I bought the truck, and I had to set the damn cruise at 70 to keep me from doing over 80 with my foot... there was no telling it was there other than in the mirror!
