Speedometer Cable Hook-up
I have just purchased a 1979 Econoline Motorhome. The previous owner had removed the instrument cluster attempting to fix a malfunctioning fuel guage. Now I cannot put the instrument cluster back in place with the speedometer cable attached. The cable does not have enough slack to attach it before placing the cluster, and there is not enough room to attach the cable if the cluster is put in place first. Does anyone know how to do this? Do you have to remove the cable from the tranny to provide the slack?? Would greatly appreciate some advice. Thanks
