Still at it

Here's a load of logs on the old '37. The overloads are almost touching the stops, but not quite......

More fun to use it than see it just sitting in the shed, which is what happens most with my '37. It does seem happy to work and always starts. Thinking of running it with it's load in a tiny local parade next weekend. It's the annual 'Olga Daze'. Olga has a defunct general store, a post office and an art store with a cafe in the back. Oh, and a couple that sell clams, oysters and salmon at the 'Buck Bay Shelfish Farm'.

Sorry, didn't make it. The parade route is quite a steep hill down to the waterfront and lots of kids playing around and I chickened out with that load and mechanical brakes and no insurance..... I must be getting old, like one of those cautious grandpa types. (first grandkid due in November). There was a model A, a local fire truck and a yellow cadillac. I told you it was a small parade. Here's a picture of the misses and I in a little bigger parade last year. 1939 toro golf course tractor. Original 6 cyl hercules, ford tonner rear axle, no wheel brakes from new, just a tranny band brake.

I understand. Thanks for the pic of the tractor. Any parade would do well to have such a timepiece participate. Looking good!
