Truck Tool Box - Husky?

I'm in the market for a truck tool box. I've been noticing quite a few Husky tool boxes in trucks as I drive around. Anybody know if they are any good, and/or where I might be able to pick one up?

thanks,

Robert

Lightbulb Truck Tool Box - Husky?

I have seen the Husky, also. Personally I bought the "Tractor Supply" single lid, across the bed, black box for the bed of my S'crew. It is made by DeeZee and seems to be well built. For $219, I couldn't beat it. There are "Tractor Supply" stores in a lot of the smaller towns, I don't know about Austin. Good luck!

Truck Tool Box - Husky?

I have a husky tool box crossbed with a single lid. I really like it. Its solid and strong. If you get one the keys will be on the metal rod (it took 20 minutes to find them). I got mine for 190ish I think (it was on sale) and yeah I got it from home depot. Good luck

I had a Tractor Supply Co single lid cross bed in my F-350. It was junk. The lid was flimzy and the locks were made of PLASTIC! No thank you.

I also had a Husky (black diamond plate) cross bed tool box in my Dodge truck. Now that was a good toolbox, expecialy for the price. The lid was strudy, the locks were strong, the lever and struts never needed any fiddling with. It closed tight and sealed good. Pluss it came with 2 smaller black diamond plate tool boxes inside it (portable hand held types). When I sold the Dodge I should have kept that box, or boght another one like it for the F-350. But I took the cheep way out and payed for it when it got broken into.

All in all. Husky is a great box for it's price. Not the best in the market, but by far the best in it's price range (that I have seen).

I just bought a Husky truck tool box. This was one of the first results that came up when I was searching for them on the internet, so I thought I would post my opinion here so other users can see them.

Just like 13MWZ said above, I picked up the diamond plate husky truck tool box. There are a lot of different options, and I used this guide for sizing: http://shedheads.net/husky-truck-tool-box-review/. You gotta pay close attention to the size of your box. It can occupy a lot of space on a small box model.

The one thing that they didn't cover was the placement of the side toolbox. If your truck is lifted at all, it's going to be really hard to get into the box. you've got to be a pretty tall person as is, and I wish I had thought of it when I purchased it. In the future, i'll probably stick to a rear mounted truck box. But I was happy with the quality of the Husky one, brand name is definately the way to go.
