Question about add a leafs

I have a 6" suspension lift now but the rear of my truck sits approx 1.25" lower than the front and it drives me crazy. Someone had suggested putting on an add a leaf to raise it a little but I wasn't sure if it would work with the lift already installed. Any suggestions?

Question about add a leafs

what was used toi lift the rear...if new springs were installrd it wont hardly do nething but make the ride stiffer, if blocks only were installed it will do the trick along with reducing axle wrap. if theres already an add-a-leaf in there then youll have to try something else

Question about add a leafs

I disagree. If you add a 1.5 add-a-leaf it will raise the truck the desired amount but will make the ride stiffer as well.

It was raised with a block. I guess I'll try it and see, thanks for the input.

Question about add a leafs

it wont raise the truck much if at all if an add-a-leaf is installed in lift springs because the already have a signifigant arch to them...it will mostly just make the ride stiffer. Since he just has lift blocks and stock springs it should do the trick

Question about add a leafs

No pissing match Ho but most add-a-leafs are rated for a certain amount of lift. Why don't you think it would lift it? I have put these on factory springs and 10" springs and they have always produced a lift.

Question about add a leafs

The add-a-leafs have mass. There for, if stuck under the spring on top of the bloc, they will at least lift the truck the thickness of the add-a-leaf. If you only have one or two inch blocks, the cheapest way to go is to get 3 or 4 inch blocks, but this is not always a good idea.

Question about add a leafs

Chris is right. I did put them on my old leafs with 6" blocks under them and I got 2"`s out of them. By arching the old springs!!!
New springs have too much radius in them therefore all you get is the thickness of the spring, like like berlinetta00 said!!

WKD , I think that is what you`re looking for. Get ready for a stiff ride if you don`t have some big tires!!
