I have a 05 6.0 with 80xxx on the motor when the motor is at operating temp the icp pressure is around 214 is it the ipr that is sticking open or is it the icp sensor that is going out or something worse please help thanks in advance everything else is with spec inc. fcim power ipr % and sycn is 1
Yes the numbers were at operating temp. The truck will start fine when the motor is cold but when the temps come up it either wont start or if it does start it has a very low idle and the throttle is disabled i am in pueblo
After i get off i will check the ICPv but as of late last night it is back to normal i plugged the ICP sensor back in and force cleared the PCM with the sgII the ICP went to 0 truck started fine multiple times when hot should i still pick up an ICP sensor just to be safe thanks again for all your help
Question: On the 50 or so HPoil systems I have broken into I have never found any residual oil pressure, further it is my understanding that the pump can't make oil pressure unless it turns.
So what pressure are we seeing at only koeo and no rotation. Just curieous..

Just the normal values for the sensor. The sensor never really "closes" (or "opens" so to speak) if it shows 0 volts, which equals 0 pressure then the sensor is bad.
