campground recommendations??

Hi there neighbors!
I am currently on a search for a campground for summer vacation. Burlinggame has been a family vacation for more years than i have been alive, but I was looking to see what else is out there. we are using a popup so full hookup is not needed. i do require a few things;

shower and bathrooms
swimming- pool or pond
biking or hiking paths
cannoeing- we have our own, just need the water source
entertainment for two 14 yr old girls

my wife is having knee surgery soon and will be with us but not really participating in the activities. so i need somewhere that doesnt require leaving the campground to stay entertained. Im happy with a beer and my hammock, but my daughter and friend will need more fun than that

any help and recommendations are greatly appreciated. feel free to share stories and/or pics too

We've always enjoyed staying at Fishermans Memorial State Park in Narragansett. The pond that it's on is nice for canoeing. A fun day trip is a day on Block Island. The ferry is only 1/4 mile away. Digging for clams at low tide is fun also. It's only 15 miles from Burlingame, so you probably know the area. Plenty to do in the area. Enjoy!

Bowdish Lake Campground if I recall the URL is Camping in Rhode Island

John the owner is a member of Ocean State Vintage Haulers and he's got an eclectic collection (lost count of all the C cab bucket trucks he's got) of odd and unusual trucks. Nice beach too.

Yeah but it only seats 2.<bg> That and if I hear one more person say rip that Cat 3208 out and melt it down because it won't even make a good boat anchor I'll come unglued.

Just hook a plow up to it and toss a sander out back. I bet that cat wouldnt have any problems pushing some serious snow.
