finals are this week, i spread them out so i could take one test a day. My friend is leaving to the army on the 22nd so we are going to the Guadalupe and the Comal for the weekend. is anyone else planning on taking a trip up there this summer? i was trying to figure out the best time to go, when all the parties start, so i can go later on in the summer.
I can't help you with your Comal/Guadalupe trip, but we do our own camping and canoe trip quite often down here in Victoria on our own stretch of the Guadalupe.
I just wanted to stop in and say it's great to see some more Aggies on this site. You're from Houston/Galveston I guess? Where do you live up here in College Station? I live off of Krenek Tap, if you know where that is.
I am almost finished with finals, 2 more and counting.
One of my friends goes to the river every year on memorial weekend. He said the park is packed with people partying. I think me and some friends might go this memorial weekend.
Congrat's on finishing tests! I have a cousin graduating from "Vet" school @ A&M this year. I live @ Canyon Lake, so just to let you know, they have already started letting more water out on the weekends. I live past "White Water Sports" about 10 miles. Congrat's again
jarvis_02, i live in league city right now, i am going to transfer up there next semester. i do know where the tap is. great bar.
retired 2001, we are going to stay at white water sports this weekend, so far we have about 10 people going. is there usually alot of people around this time of year?
It hasn't been really bad, yet. But, when schools start letting out you "can't stir them with a stick"! But, that's what it's all about! If you see a Dark Shadow Grey S'crew (w/Silver stirpe) & black tool box, give us a shout!
Hey Jarvis, I have some friends that live off of Krenek Tap. I live off Rock Prarie exit, over in that area.
As for this weekend, seeing that we have Bryan and Consolidated High School Proms, A&M Graduation, and Mothers Day all in the same weekend (and I am a florist), I will be working. My only plans for this summer thus far is to go to Bartending school in Houston.
well. i took my last final about 2 hours ago. it feels so good to know schools out for the summer. i had a dream last night that i added 3 more inches to my truck, so i think i am going to do it this weekend before we head to the river. my truck is lookin alot better even with those pizza cutters for tires.
I got back from the river last weds. had a great time, except for some of the people that i went with, you know, the ones who can't stand to be outside with no air conditioning, or tv's. evern worse, vegetarians. the ended up leaving after the second night. we stayed for another 2 nights, had the best time i have ever had there. on the way back there is this little bar on river road and it said that bleu edmondson, roger creiger, and a whole binch of other people are playing this weekend. so i am thinking about driving up there and floatin' the river one more time, going to that show, and passin out in my truck. we stoppped in shiner and took some pictures, that put the biggest smile on my face, just seein that place, i am going to post some pictures so check back in a lil while

Definitely! There's plenty to do in good ol' Aggieland; and plenty of people to get together with for any form of a party; from floatin' the river to caravaning for a weekend of off-roading to some good Texas bbq.
My wife and I along with about 20 others go to the Guadlupe every Memorial Weekend. We have been "hosting" it for 8 years now. The water is CoLd as hell, but it's what we look forward to every year!
We live in Fort Worth, the other friends live all over the state, so I only see a lot of them that one long weekend every year. I wish I lived closer, I'd go several times a year. It sucks driving 4-5 hours to get there loaded down with everything, but I wouldn't miss it for the world!
Have fun and be safe!
