I bought a 72 pretty much unmolested one and am having a time finding many interior pics. I'll see if I can load a pic of it I'm hopefully going to pick it up next week while on vacation.
It has a 302 and three on the tree. It has been in the same family since I think he said 1976. The prior few years were owned by another individual in the same community. Steve can't tell me for sure if the roof rack was a factory option as he really had no interest in it til he was driving age in 1983. He just knows it has been on there since his dad bought it. Thanks for any information and pictures on these. I'll post progress pics as soon as I get it home and start working on it. It won't be neglected like my 75 Highboy as my wife is contemplating selling our Durango when this is done and use this as her daily driver.
I'm not too certain Rich. Patty and I were discussing what the Bronco is missing and she swears they had side panels in the rear, I said no. Just trying to make certain I don't miss any parts on this restoration. You know which truck I'm itching to build and she has to happen by this next spring and the Jamboree.
I do not think they came with back side inner fenderwell panels like a full size Bronco. I have a brown vinyl covered set in the rearedned 79 bronco. They could be cut down if need be, they are all yours just come get them.
How far do you wanna go?
Period correct, (more stringent) concourse correct, they all are possible. If the original owners are accessible that is one source of info (may B even prts). There are sites more specific to the bronk than here which should be scanned. The Paroni family (sorry on spelling I'm not near my BD mag right now) and others have some good info (all v e r y expensive in my financial world).
Yes certain models (gettin pretty esoteric here - to me) had the coverings back there (Ranger and Explorer). Run down the frame/chassy numbers and motor at the very least to see WHAT IS correct/doable for this vehicle... me I don't care, I adapt it as I wish for my purpose. But it's a wrk vehicle (almost said "truck") not for show or DD.
Also there was a flimsy chrome roof rack that was pretty low. I have one that's pretty destroyed. It is of the '70s style - uprights are canted backward. Cross bars are flared rather than round, etc.
keep talkin...
EDIT:
rec an acknowledgment of the last post to this thread so I came & saw my wrds"chrome roof rack" had been turned into a link. That will not be correct application. If truly interested I have a pic of the original... post to the email in my sig & I'll look in my archive for it.

Reason: site converted my wrds into an advert
I'll be picking it up Wednesday evening and will determine the route to go....concourse or period correct. This one is going to be done with an eye for possible resale, not to my taste as I will be doing my 75 highboy to my taste.
I be doin the opposite... never can tell about personal taste, eh? We're all different, & that what makes it interesting, or as a friend in the Ozarks said "Dats Y they make vanilla AND chocolate!"
Rich, you big meanie. Lol. I just texted a pic of Ms Dent today to my buddy with her new cab and AC parts. No reply yet and I'm not pushing, he has several hundred head of cattle and farms I don't know how many acres.
