We found a new option. A '96 explorer 5.0 Long Block for $600 obo. The engine alledgedly has about 60K on it. It looks clean. We will be doing a compression/leak down test and if we like it this will be the one we jump on.
That's a perfect candidate and should have the regular GT40 heads so there won't be any header or manifold fitment issues.. pretty much a direct bolt-in with all the truck stuff on top of it.
